I have produces a LOT of food over the years on a small city lot. Since I'm over 50 years old, I wanted to have a larger garden with greater variety of foods for my long-term health. So I bought a home, garage and Carport on a Trople lot in Parkrose, which already has some Fruit and Nut trees. I added 3 Apple trees despot over 90 degree heat the first season.
Field radishes are here in abundance, and Rosemary and fennel were already here. I always have some to share.
I am still harvesting Chinese leek - into late June, from a variety that lasts later than what I had at my previous garden. So I have a lot of the former bulbs to give away, if they've survived my neglect since I've been harvesting only from t the new ones. Come see.
This year I put in a a large Rhubarb bed, and am late getting in most my veggies due to the long wet spring.
I welcome garden visits
The first 2 years I quickly planted Strawberries, Blueberries and Potatoes, Elephant Garlic, Catawissa Onions, hops, and more Herbs.
I welcome Garden Visits, and Swaps. Come get cuttings from all my shrubs!

Thanks for the tip. I see a lot of blooms and green berries but no done ones yet. That is handy, though, because I guess most things you notice will happen a bit earlier for you than me?

My strawberries started going ripe a few days ago. I wonder if calling myself zone 8 is a little optimistic.
