I like growing veggies, fruit and flowers. I hope to move from clay zone 6 to sand zone 4 within 5 years. I am learning to use high tunnels to grow year round.

USDA Zone: 4

Soil: sand

Hello from Pittsburgh PA (zone 6/clay) and Grayling MI(zone 4/sand). I live in Pittsburgh but spend a lot of the summer near Grayling and garden at both locations. I've gardened 25 years in PA, playing the last two with high tunnels. I'm hoping to learn more about sand, colder winters and growing in low and high tunnels in zone 4.

Welcome, Hickory! So glad to have you here, and I look forward to learning from you about gardening in colder climates.

Feel free to post photos and ask questions, and we're happy to have you here!

How are you holding up in the snow? Do you garden in the winter too?
