Ate my first apricot today! It was delicious, just done. A neighbor child touched it, and it fell off on the mint below. We shared. This was a Blenheim saved from a burn pile by Teryani. I have been watching it for a while now. I planted two trees. Only the smallest bore this year, the one baby.

You're lucky to have apricots! Are worried about having them in the Northwest? I haven't heard of many people being that successful with them here. But it sounds like they're working for you!

I have a rather amazing watercress which has done beautifully with little water. I have seed pods if anyone is interested.

I have a huge watercress that over-wintered, garlic likewise. I have donated mint for mint-cilantro chutney a friend makes. I have one apricot on a bare-root tree that was saved from a burn pile. I have been munching arugula flowers. I put an orange cherry tomato by the dryer vent, and it is doing pretty well. Peas got eaten, largely. I have harvested some lettuce.

Welcome to Plantworking! What an interesting idea to use the drier vent like that. You could run your drier at night and help keep the tomato warm!

Would you be interested in trading some cuttings of your bay plant so that I could propagate it?

You are welcome to try. It is very hard to start this from cuttings. Also, bay is far more, ahem, vigorous, in this climate than you might think. If you put it in the ground, it can get very large pretty quickly.

Let me know if you are still interested.
