Came from back to the land parents. Often rebelled against the chickens in the kitchen and such; now moving back in their direction. Growing a lot on our suburban lot, and wanting to grow a lot more.

For the home brewing gardeners out there here is my inspiration for the morning. Getting my bottles well rinsed out always seems like a waste of water, so today I decided to take a bunch of bottles I was collecting out and lean them up against the raised bed and using the jet setting on the hose fill each one up. Now, when it comes time to water, I have focused 16 oz shots of warm water for each plant. More efficient watering, and all water used to rinse the bottles will be used in the garden. Of course, I'll still have to sterilize the bottles later, but the initial rinse will be done after a few days of this. At the BBQs,I'll just ask the guests to line the bottles up against the bed for rinsing. Cheers!
Fun idea, Farmer Ben! Plus I bet a lot of insects will like it in the meantime. I imagine mosquitoes won't be a problem since you're emptying it frequently. Another thing that is useful about this is that if you use a sprinkler for watering, you can see how evenly it is watering that area.
